The fact that it's looking for libX11.so.3, when you have libX11.so.6 should
give you some clue as to what's going on.  The program you have has been
linked against an old version of X, so you need the old libraries to run it.
These libraries do exist, in the xcompat package.  Try installing that and
see if it fixes your problem.
