Hardware oder Software Problem? (xine decoding mpeg2)
hallo!
ich habe hier einen "älteren" rechner, mit einem p3 866, 256mb ram und
einer geforce riva tnt2 32mb.
nun habe ich dort ein debian etch installiert, die treiber für die
grafikkarte (nvidia-kernel-legacy-source) sind allerdings aus sid.
das problem dabei ist, dass ich es nicht schaffe, auf dem rechner eine
DVD ruckelfrei abzuspielen, auch schafft es xine nicht, einen dvb-s
stream ruckelfrei darzustellen.
unter windows (winxp nacktinstallation) funktioniert aber auf der
hardware beides ruckelfrei.
so, was habe ich nun gemacht, um sicher zu gehen, dass mir kein "grober"
fehler unterlaufen ist, ich habe, soweit ich es weiß etliche ausgaben
kontrolliert, und konnte aber keinen fehler festellen.
die logfiles, und configfiles welche ich überprüft/optimiert habe sind
als dateianhang zu finden.
in meiner verzweiflung habe ich dann noch versucht, im kernel die
PREEMPT funktion auf "low latency desktop" zu stellen, leider brachte
auch diese option keine deutliche verbesserung.

was ich noch erwähnen wollte im zusammenhang mit xine, deinterlacing ist bei der prozdedur immer abgeschalten gewesen.
wäre natürlich fein, wenns ruckelfrei mit deinterlacing laufen würde.
ich hoffe es hat jemand DEN entscheidenden tipp für mich.
