Nein, ich ging nach Anleitung aus dem www vor.
Hab's jetzt mal nach /usr/share/doc/hpoj/html/setup-connect.html
probiert und bleibe bei folgendem Problem hängen.

In meiner /etc/ptal-start.conf steht nur:

> 	touch /var/lock/ptal-init

when ich diese Datei umbenenne und danach ptal-init setup aufrufe wird
die Datei wieder erzeugt; dann aber ganz leer, ohne jeglichen Inhalt.
während des 'ptal-init setup' findet er offensichtlich auch auf
/deb/usb/lp0 meinen Drucker. Wenn ptal bei lp0 nachschaut ob da ein
Device ist, fährt mein Druckkopf hin und her und ein Blatt wird eingezogen.

Alle benötigten Module sind imho geladen (Drucken geht auch problemlos)

lsmod |grep usb
> usbserial              17504   0 (unused)
> usbmouse                1824   0 (unused)
> input                   3328   0 [hid mousedev usbmouse keybdev]
> usb-uhci               21348   0 (unused)
> usbcore                56000   1 [hid usbserial usbmouse scanner printer usb-uhci]

P.S. ich hab auch schon folgendes versucht (nach einem Beitrag auf 
'gmane.linux.drivers.hpofficejet.devel'
