Well, when extracting the pfb files after installing that file using
t1c2pfb we do something similar (precalculating the md5sum, put it
into the deb and have the correct md5 sum in the disk). Se can put
the md5sum of an empty file into the package and are done here:
preusse@smithers:~> touch a
preusse@smithers:~> md5sum a
d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e a
