Indeed. Saving compilation time, saving bandwidth, avoiding the
possibility of FTBFS bugs etc. That was my first reaction to the
package.

I wondered about that too and was ashamed to ask because you all might
have thought it was too naïve. :-) Glad to know that I am not alone.

Indeed, I would prefer if it were called just cm-super, unless there
are strong reasons not to name it that way.
