You might have more luck on the Debian Users list, this list is specifically for debian-testing questions, and since you're running 2.6.11 custom anyway, it's not really a testing specific issue. Not that you can't do that, but there may be a better place to post questions like this.Debian doesn't seen to be very alive this days ...
