problems with installing Woody on Ultra 1

Hi all,

I tried to install Woody from CD (02/Apr,
cdimage-unofficial.debian.net) on an Ultra 1.
Currently it runs RedHat 6.2 and all is OK,
the CD installation of it (some time ago) was
ok too.
But when I tried to boot from the CD, the
welcome screen appeared with the question
Scsi/Ide/Other, after s it booted and stopped
with kernel panic, something like this (i don't
know, how paste the logs ;))

[i thing every hw was found ok]
IP Protocols...
IP routing...
TCP: Hash tables configure (established 8192 bind 8192)
NET4: Unix domain sockets 10/SMP for Linux NET40
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 0b:00
Press L1-A ...etc

I tried root=/dev/scd0, /dev/scd1, /dev/ram (I've read
this hint somewhere) but it didn't work... And my Ultra
is unable to boot from floppy (or I'm stupid BFU?),
I tried to tell boot floppy, fd, fd0, it doesn't even
touch the floppy, probably it's old and broken (it's
also very dirty, but it isn't my machine :)).

Thanks for any hint...
