Re: Allow newer rggobi into etch?
Release team:
I just uploaded rggobi into testing-proposed-updates
with the changelog entry below. This should hopefully make
it into etch.
Debian-admin:
Thanks, I am done on pergolesi. Nice machine :) Feel free to
purge these:
r-base-dev ggobi debhelper cdbs libgtk2.0-dev libxml2-dev r-cran-rgtk2
which Phil had installed earlier.
Ben:
Big thanks for catching this, and suggesting the backport!!
Phil:
Many thanks for the quick admin work.
Cheers, Dirk
rggobi (2.1.4-2-1etch1) testing-proposed-updates; urgency=medium
* Backport of the change in 2.1.4-2-2 (of 28 Nov 2006) -- this change
is minimal and affects only debian/rules where two 'overriding' variables
need to be set so that the cdbs stanza /usr/share/R/debian/r-cran.mk
can be used correctly on this package from the Omagehat (and not CRAN)
upstream repository. I also added one lintian cleanup (see below).
* Thanks for Ben Burton for suggesting it, and for Steve Langasek to give
it an initial thumbs-up. This package should go into testing as the
freeze caught the badly broken (i.e. empty) version 2.1.4-2-1.
* debian/control: Remove Depends: entry as ggobi_2.1.4 has correct shlibs
* The original changelog entry from 2.1.4-2.2 follows.
* debian/rules: Also reset $debRlib for non-CRAN package (Closes: #400835)

| Done.
|
| N.B. That was done in the "testing" chroot on pergolesi, as requested, not
| the "amd64_etch" chroot -- if there's some reason why you needed it to be
| in the amd64 chroot, feel free to ask.
