I probably missed it, but from skimming these threads, it seemed like the
problem was more with git-buildpackage than with pristine-tar. If so, I
wonder if the same problems would affect git-dpm.
I search d-d on gmane and wasn't able to find Joey's specific message about
pristine-tar bitrot. pristine-tar does have a few bugs that could be
relevant. I'm not sure where that leaves us though.
