How does saying Sven is not critical to the project imply that his contributions have been minimal? Sven has made very valuable and big contributions to d-i. Losing him will hurt development, mainly for powerpc, for a while. However, I don't understand the jump you seem to be making from there to the assumption that that automatically makes him irreplaceable. > I suppose it comes down to what a "temporary reduction in support" > looks like. However, that does not necessarily mean that all subareas in the project will improve. > Could you outline the improvements you expect to achieve > through Sven's elimination and the timeframe they might arrive in? No. I'm not willing to speculate on that, nor could I quantify it. The main improvement will be in the happiness and thus motivation and hopefully productivity of key members of the project, including myself.
