1) set ipp-usb from stable version to sid version

2) reading /var/log/ipp-usb/

alain@sid:/var/log/ipp-usb$ ls
03f0-c311-CN595530XD06BX-HP-ENVY-5530-series.log
03f0-c311-CN595530XD06BX-HP-ENVY-5530-series.log.0.gz

03f0-c311-CN595530XD06BX-HP-ENVY-5530-series.log.2.gz
03f0-c311-CN595530XD06BX-HP-ENVY-5530-series.log.3.gz
03f0-c311-CN595530XD06BX-HP-ENVY-5530-series.log.4.gz
main.log

https://paste.debian.net/1238897/    ; (main.log)

https://paste.debian.net/plain/1238898 ; (printer .log)

4. Resconnect the device to USB.

5. Copy SOMETHING.log to somewhere as connect.txt and compress it with

https://debian-facile.org/paste-77C29F7A8B main.log

https://debian-facile.org/paste-B5427264DC printer.log

i've just gone to this thread :

i saw interesting things but , apparently , nothing that applies to my
actual case .

alain@sid:~$ sudo systemctl list-units "ipp-usb*" | grep service
[sudo] Mot de passe de alain :
ipp-usb.service loaded active running Daemon for IPP over USB printer
support

alain@sid:~$ scanimage -L
device `hpaio:/usb/ENVY_5530_series?serial=CN595530XD06BX' is a
Hewlett-Packard ENVY_5530_series all-in-one
Your scanner is not found. Also, ippfind (which is used by driverless)
and avahi-browse find the bbox but not the ENVY.
With the unstable version of ipp-usb, please do this:

1. Disconnect the device from USB.

2. The logs for ipp-usb are in /var/log/ipp-usb/. We want the first one,
    named like SOMETHING.log.

3. As root, empty SOMETHING.log with

      >/var/log/ipp-usb/SOMETHING.log

4. Resconnect the device to USB.

5. Copy SOMETHING.log to somewhere as connect.txt and compress it with

      gzip connect.txt

6. Send connect.txt.gz here.

Cheers,

Brian.
