You provided information at
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=983349
that cleary shows your printer is new enough to support IPP-over-USB.
Why not repeat all the commands I gave there?

This seems more a matter of your setup on unstable and unrelated to
printing.
