Re: pbbuttonsd new problems

After reading the list I have another question concerning my
buttons/keys in pbbuttonsd. I can't use any key to change the
brightness or sound or even put the system to sleep. My syslog says
this.

Jul 22 11:56:30 enoc pbbuttonsd: WARNING: No event devices available.
Lets see what's wrong.
Jul 22 11:56:30 enoc pbbuttonsd: - Failed to lauch
'/sbin/modprobe evdev', maybe one of them is missing.
Jul 22 11:56:30 enoc pbbuttonsd: - Can't figure out what's
wrong, sorry - keyboard actions won't work.
Jul 22 11:56:30 enoc pbbuttonsd: INFO: saving of config enabled to
/etc/pbbuttons/pbbuttonsd.conf.
Jul 22 11:56:30 enoc pbbuttonsd: INFO: pbbuttonsd 0.6.2: iBook/G3 PB

Jul 22 11:56:30 enoc kernel: hda: Set PIO timing for mode 0, reg:
0x0c50032b
Jul 22 11:56:30 enoc pbbuttonsd: INFO: Script

I just moved from a clamshell ibook G3 running 2.4.25 kernel to a G4
powerbook 2nd generation and a 2.6.7 kernel I compiled my self. I get
some things to work on the powerbook but the keys were unuseable. In the
kernel I have the powersave govener enabled and wonder if that maybe
causing some conflicts there?
