 I get this:
 dpkg-checkbuilddeps: Unmet build dependencies: perl (>= 5.8.0-7)

> Depends: perl (>= 5.6.0-16)
> Where's the dependency on Perl 5.8?
 Here:

Source: libxml-mini-perl
Section: perl
Priority: optional
Build-Depends-Indep: debhelper (>= 4), perl (>= 5.8.0-7)
Maintainer: Raphael Hertzog <hertzog@debian.org>
Standards-Version: 3.5.10

 This is still strange, why is perl >= 5.8.0-7 supposed to be needed to build this,
but not neccessary to run...

 Identical control files can be found in Crypt::CBC and RPC::XML, could it
be that this is artifact of some dev tool?
