This would be extremely undesirable, but I couldn't blame you. In October last
year I decided to withdraw my application on 2006-01-01, for exactly the same
reasons. If I hadn't been fast-tracked I would've minimised my Debian
involvement to an occasional bug report. After all, Debian isn't the only
interesting free software project to spend some spare time on.

We're seeing more DDs resigning or MIAing then fresh people entering, and that's
for a reason. I don't mean to blame the current people upholding NM, but if
the project as a whole can't find enough volunteers, we need to fix the
procedures. Unfortunately the appreciation of NM seems to rise with the
time one has left it (or not even attended at all).
