As Steve already wrote, it's about crediting, not law. Whenever
I prepare my package uploads, I credit everyone who contributed as
much as a line of code in the changelog. That way there is little
that can go wrong.

Anyway, I was just suggesting it.

Yes, except that I use linda 0.3.26, which supposedly does not have
that bug.

But this does in fact look good. I shall thus upload the package you
prepared and speak to the linda maintainers.
