Hi Flavien, Am Wed, Oct 20, 2021 at 04:43:14PM +0200 schrieb Flavien Bridault:I added some more dependencies and remove some you added. I understand you added them to remove some CMake warnings, but normally we don't really care. iirc this is just because of some CMake files in VTK that are not as modular as we could expect. The executable files mentioned in the warnings are never used at build time nor at runtime. Its perfectly fine if you removed something that is not needed. :-)I struggled a bit with pbuilder because we download some resource files during the configure step. I realized I needed to explicitly enable networking in ~/.pbuilderrc... I guess it is enabled on Debian build machines, otherwise I would have noticed before, but I am just curious that you can confirm that to me.Sorry, I can not confirm. When building a package any download is strictly forbidden. You somehow need to provide those resource files at build time - either inside the source tarball or as add on for instance in debian/resources or so.I also had to add a new patch for some missing includes, we already fixed that upstream few days ago. Please confirm that this builds fine on your side.I admit I will not even try since this download trick will not work. ;-) Do you see any chance to fix this?
Ok so I am glad I asked. :) Yeah now I remember that in the
previous version, the target where we download those files was not
configured, it is a sample code. I rewrote the build system in
Sight 21.0, so that why we have this situation now. We could
handle these files with git LFS later but for now, I think it is
easier to not build the samples. I could convert that with a cmake
switch upstream later.
Kind regards Andreas.
