Brilliant, now you really start decoding the guts of things ...

So, perhaps, what you recently observed with wireshark -
there's different endpoints ... - was part of that aspect.

Some of them endoints "invisible at first" (for reasons
$DEITY only knows), then the "real" endpoints being unmasked
following the "proper" (as in "official", "divine") init
sequence, IOW, the init sequence might be a "vendor key" to
"unlock" the device.
