Thanks for seeking actively for help here on the list.

As far as I can see the non-library packages of this source packages
have the following popularity content results:

	blast2: 46
	ncbi-tools-bin: 21
	ncbi-tools-x11: 85

I have not checked whether the tools in ncbi-tools-x11 are supporting a
command line interface but if its only X11 testing becomes hard anyway.
So concentrating on the tools inside blast2 package might be considered
a first step for providing at least any test as a starter. I have
explicitly added Aaron for more detailed hints - may be somebody else on
the list could give additional information what specific tool is
important for testing. Extra points for pointers to data sets that can
be used as input data / output to compare with.

Please everybody help our GSoC student to make our toolset better
tested.

While waiting for more detailed hints Canberk could pick another package
from the suggested todo list:

       ncbi-tools6
njplot (according to manual there is an option without X11,
              -> https://anonscm.debian.org/git/debian-med/njplot.git
       emboss
       picard-tools
       tigr-glimmer

Kind regards

       Andreas.
