We are linking on our TODO list to these older packaging efforts:

   http://debian-med.alioth.debian.org/tasks/practice#freemed

If you consider this packaging effort as "not so successful" do you
think it is better not to link to these in "Unofficial Debian package"?
What exactly to you mean with "not successful"? Do you think we should
start from scratch with the packaging or would it make sense to start on
top of your work. In the latter case it would you provide the source
package (*.dsc+*.diff.gz) which belongs to the *.deb or at least the
debian/ directory? I'm also wondering where the newer versions (0.9.x+)
are available. While 0.8.4 is a bit aged (3 years old) it is the latest
version available in the SourceForge files download section.

Also REMITT is definitely on my radar (just noticed that it was missing
on our todo list but added it now to

   http://debian-med.alioth.debian.org/tasks/practice.en.html#remitt

I remember that I previosely asked you about the relation between freeb
and remitt. Can you please check the freeb section whether it reflects
the current status. If 'm correct, we should rather focus on REMITT for
packaging, right?

Sounds good.

Kind regards
