Thanks for the hint.  It is a good idea to ask somebody for sponsorship.
Sometimes I wonder if I could/should work full time for Debian-Med but
I have to earn some money in any way (and need some bandwidth).
Any contacts or links to ask for Sponsorship?

Do we talk about free of charge or do we talk about fitting the
DFSG (http://www.debian.org/social_contract#guidelines)?

Free means the source code is Open and users are allowed to change it ...
In this case I see good chances for a UNIX port.

Could you perhaps ask for it if you know some people?  I would be glad
to include it into Debian, especially people in our institute are using
it (not under Linux :-().

I doubt that personally - but why not.

Sorry, no.  But if there is one free resource in this feeld it would
be a target for packaging.
