Yep that did it!

As long as the interface remains whatever it's called when the prism54 module is loaded, then the ifrename effectively does nothing, and then this ends up letting the interface be upped correctly.

I'm sending this email after unplugging and plugging the WG511 without running the script I made to bring the card up manually.

Now, I'm wondering if I should file a bug against hotplug?
