i have a dell inspiron 3800 with the maestro3 sound chip. i used to use older alsa (0.5 or so), then switched to the new oss driver in the kernel when alsa 0.9 got unstable. well here i am, wanting to go back to alsa 0.9 betas (in debian unstable), and they still don't work well for me at all. i can play sound, and i can use multiple channels, which is really nice, but i oops the kernel if i try to suspend the laptop. so i tried unloading the snd-card-maestro3 module, suspend, resume, load the module. this manages to oops the kernel when i try to play a sound after all that. is anyone successfully using alsa for the maestro3? -- ____________________}John Flinchbaugh{______________________ | glynis@hjsoft.com http://www.hjsoft.com/~glynis/ | ~~Powered by Linux: Reboots are for hardware upgrades only~~
