Second draft attached.

I've just realised I'm not clear on what this bit is trying to say:

In addition to the regular installation media, Debian GNU/Linux can
now also be directly used without prior installation. These special
images are also known as live images and are available for CDs, USB
sticks and different forms of network setups. Initially, these are
provided for the amd64 and i386 architectures only.

It needs minor corrective surgery on "These special images" (there's
nothing for "these" to refer back to), but what's going on with
"available for [...] different forms of network setups"? I'm guessing
it means "available for CDs, USB sticks and netboot setups":

In addition to the regular installation media, Debian GNU/Linux can
now also be directly used without prior installation. The special
images used, known as live images, are available for CDs, USB
sticks, and netboot setups. Initially, these are

(And, uh, is the preference for aptitude over apt-get _officially_
official? I'm an aptitude fan myself, but I've recently seen claims
on the lists that it's less effective for big dist-upgrades...)
