Re: [debian-knoppix] Re: remastering Knoppix CD

Hallo Knoppixer,

I have added Xdialog to the scripts of Th. Lange for remastering
knoppix.

It is still very experimental I think but it works for me. Remastering
needs 6 GByte free diskspace on one partition! A swapfile is generated,
too. You just have to mount a partition writeable to a dir, something
like "mkdir /users;mount /dev/hda2 /users".

You still must know, how to customize DEBIAN, because it just does a
chroot. But I want to expand that even further.

The script and a screenshot are here:

I hope it will be usefull, but remember it is always a good idea to have
a backup and you need 6 GB FREE diskspace.

My roadmap:
1) debug, improve errorhandling
2) Make menue with customizing tasks, like minimal-knoppix, edit
knoppix.sh, edit index.html, cp /usr/local/* ...
*) test with dialog on console
*) Better docs and better webpage, i know it is lousy :-((

Have a nice day
