I am interested in lot of stuff, but the point we are trying to make, is that
the kernel team has not the ressources to handle this as it should, so we
either keep the status quo, or get some outside help.

Of all those complaining about the non-free modules, and asking why we have
not fixed it yet, almost nobody has come up and actually proposed help, just,
as you did, propose we somehow find more free time to work on it.

So, i have given a few hints on how even kernel team outsiders with no kernel
coding experience can start to give a hand on this. Nobody replied to that
call for help yet, the ball is in your camp.
