You've been luckier than I in finding reports of these issues. I agree the
issue is upstream. I also understand that there will be many fixes in 17.12,
which is already here (sort of), and so, part of what has to be done is to
wait. I'll do more thorough searches on https://bugs.kde.org, and see what
they say. I'll probably have more luck in my searches using the elements
you've put here.
