Abiword has a long history of release critical bugs. That has kept new
versions out of sarge for some time now, and ultimately has caused its
removal. Naturally, I hope it goes back in so it can be included, but if
it doesn't go back in, I'll need a replacement.

Yeah. It's not really a great alternative. Fine for schools with big
servers and LTSP clients maybe, but not ideal for Debian Jr. which is
focused more on the home.
