Dear all, I've received a request (see below) to move the packaging of solr to a git repository. Solr is currently maintained in the pkg-java subversion repository. In my opinion, this is as is should be: pkg-java is a team effort, and the results of that effort are maintained in the pkg-java svn. On the other hand, I don't care much about tools, and if it is significantly easier for others to contribute to the solr packaging if it's in git (why not bzr, or hg, or <insert hip tool of the week>, btw?), I might consider moving to a _pkg-java_ git. Any thoughts from the team?
