unimplemented syscalls?

Dear All,

I did probably something really silly but... that is life...

So I've finally managed to boot my itanium rx2600 box with installed
woody. I decided to upgrade it unstable immediately, so did apt-get
update and apt-get distupgrade (or even may be kinda the same in
dselect, don't remember now :-))

Sure it clarified with me if I want to upgrade glibc, I said why not and
then I started getting all crap <sc1236(....)> for each running command
and modutils don't work at all...
depmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented

Under such flooding conditions I upgraded the kernel to
kernel-image-2.4.20-mckinley-smp package but with the same success...

What did I do wrong? or what is the right way to install unstable
debian?

Thank you in advance!
