Yes they  are the  sc(..) messages. I have had a variety of suggestions.

"dmesg -n 4" suppresses the console logging which is hugely beneficial. 

It is definately related to glibc6 but the question now is what kernel
revision would make them go away. I am currently at 2.4.20. I have this
error on  5 of my boxen right now so eliminating the junkiness in the
logs would be great. Thanks for suggestions.
