The most noticeable thing is the old versions for regex-*.  Is there
already a plan for the next release, one that catches up with what's on
Hackage?

parsec in the platform is also an "old" version - 2.1.0.1 - and is likely to remain that way, as parsec 3 is generally considered to be a bad idea (slower and perhaps buggier). I think Debian will have to downgrade this or have a separate parsec2 package to support the platform.
