That is of course not something the Debian meta-package will have any
problem with since DEBs don't suffer from that particular limitation.

The most noticeable thing is the old versions for regex-*.  Is there
already a plan for the next release, one that catches up with what's on
Hackage?

Haskell is an even 'redder' pill than Lisp or Scheme.
