Then they should (build-)depend on imlib1-dev rather than expecting
libgnome-dev to depend on it for them. Certainly none of the three
libraries whose development files libgnome-dev contains needs imlib1.

I have things that need PNG and are otherwise unconstrained, so I
*could* use libpng2 with them; I just have no inherent reason to, and
therefore would really prefer to be able to use libpng3 instead.
