Well, maybe. One of the problems is perhaps that long-time Unix/Linux
users are _used_ to the breadth of configurability you can get from WMs
under X. Sawfish has a number of extreme features, but that's
definitely why I use it.
Its ability to remember position/dimensions/attributes for a particular
window is probably the closest functionality to the matched windows that
could potentially be extended in a comfortable manner to meet that
requirement. At the moment it doesn't quite have the flexibility, and I
think it probably needs some application-side support to fully handle
what 'matched windows' can achieve.
