Unfortunately, pktools fails to build with libLAS 1.8.0. The build
chokes on this error:

pklas2img.cc: In function 'int main(int, char**)':
pklas2img.cc:285:19: error: no matching function for call to
'liblas::Point::Point()'
     liblas::Point thePoint;

I've reporting this in the pktools bug tracker at:
