IIRC localapps is a feature for thinclients, running previously
specified apps locally (on the thinclient).
No idea how it's done and I haven't used it myself yet, therefore I'd
also be interested in a HowTo.
I've seen the localapps parameter in documentation for lts.conf I think.

Diskless Workstations is a whole different thing where the whole system
runs on the client.
