Re: CUPS printing question

Hey!
It seems you didn't get an answer except for Ralf's one.
Now here are some hints from me.

"Also, localhost:631(or static24, etc) fails with access denied if I try
to use the web interface for installing. The error message is coming
from Tjener, even when I am using a browser on the local machine."

Try localhost.intern:631 / static24.intern:631 and so on. Still no access?
Using cups you have to log in from localhost to install new printers, it
doesn't work from another machine.
>From another machine, you can only watch the pages, but cups denies the
access, i know. So if you want to install a printer on e.g. static24,
you have to log in to static24 and then browse http://static24.intern:631.

hope that helps.
kind regards,
