This might be advisable - not only for theologists :)
AFAIK, unless there weren't any local adaptions, in most cases you
should overwrite the old conf files (Y). Personally, I always
doublecheck using the 'D' option to verify there's nothing that looks
like local changes.
Very often, however, there are only comments added in the newer version
- I'd wish the degree of alternations was documented in a more
sophisticated way - and old settings were imported generically by means
of some script. But this not the place to utter such contemplations, I
guess :)
