That looks reeeealy outdated. It mentions there is no
update-alternatives manpage, but looking at the dpkg changelog that has
been there for about 3 years.
I've also started to write something that is something in between a dpkg
reference and a dpkg manual. Most of the time so far has been spent in
learning docbook then in writing though, but it is progressing.
