I remember trying the typing detection some years ago. It didn't help
me much, since the order of events, for me, tend to be that the mouse
events happen first, and typing events only later, so that by the time
the typing prevents the touchpad from working it's already too late,
as the mouse has moved and sometimes clicked. (Which is a recipe for
very confusing IRC dicussions, btw.)
