I am still waiting for someone to tell me where is said that /tmp should
be for small files.

Neither the FHS [1] or the IEEE standard P1003.2 (POSIX, part 2) [2] or
any other standard (that I know about) says that /tmp should be for
"small" files

So... where is said that files on /tmp should be small?
Please, enlighten me
