This was discussed in the past already. Nothing "prevents" us to do
that, but PPA is actually quite tied to Launchpad infrastructure which
is significantly different than the Debian infrastructure which is more
distributed and loosely coupled. So the blocker is simply finding
someone doing the needed porting work, possibly generalizing the code
for the benefit of everyone willing to setup something like that.

Show me the code! :-)
