autoconf generates a broken configure:

Note that the @here document _ACEOF is not closed.

It seems to stumble over this in web2c/withenable.ac
[  --enable-ipc            enable TeX's --ipc option, i.e., pipe to a program],

Perhaps somebody with strong autofoo can see the bug.
