My ISP blocks port 25/outgoing. Now what?
Okay, technically I could find myself a host which agrees on some
special arrangement (actually, that's what happens in my case, but let's
forget that); but that requires me to have a host at a colo, or a friend
who has one. Which isn't available to everyone.
(no, there's no need for me to switch to a different ISP, because they
happen to be quite competent -- in fact, the reason why port
25/outgoing is blocked is that they can more easily fight SPAM and
viruses that way -- but I wouldn't be surprised to find out there are
other ISPs that do the exact same thing, and aren't as competent)
