Anyone know if configure scripts made with Autoconf 2.57 had a PowerPC
related bug? It seems that it's setting the GCC flag -mpowerpc64 if the CPU
type is "powerpc*", which is obviously wrong.

I've asked upstream to make a new version with Autoconf 2.59
