I began to attempt something like this but lost most of the work in a hard
drive crash last summer.
Also it should be noted there are programs out there which claim to
integrate webmin modules into the KDE and GNOME control centers. (I
haven't tried either myself.) For the command line you could use w3m etc.
as John suggested.
