So, it takes me about half an hour to apt-get update these days. If I
were downloading 23% smaller files, that would take only, coincidentially,
~23 minutes. + 1 extra minute to unbzip (unlikely, on this fast hardware) 
= 24 minutes. Total savings of time: 6 minutes.

Isn't this er, obvious?
