IMHO we should do it this way, but arrange with tar maintainers in other
distributions first. So Debian should not use this as the only
distribution while all others follows the upstream.

Regulars diesem Thread absolut faziniert folgen, nur traut sich keiner
was zu sagen, weil man die beiden ja offiziell im Killfile hat.
