Sure, we dont' -have to-... but: when we do choose to upgrade majorly core
areas of the dist, we MUST expect it's going to take some time to integrate.
perl, x, libc, package format, binary format, archive reorganization and
a few others are areas where changes therein would take care (most important)
and time (if one cares) to integrate. Potato had its share.
